ABOUT RON

Growing up, I always knew that working with my hands brought me enormous satisfaction.  Originally a devotee of working with wood, I discovered my passion for working with metal in Flagstaff, Arizona in 2007. Moving to Montreal in 2010, I decided to embark on a journey of experimentation and artistic creation and enrolled in the École de Joaillerie de Montreal’s three year jewellery program.  Wanting to maintain my independence and artistic freedom, I launched my business Ron Crawford Designs with the idea of producing limited series, one of a kind and custom pieces.

Using traditional hand crafting techniques as well as cutting edge 3D computer assisted design tools, I explore the possibilities that each has to offer in the creation and fabrication of sensual, elegant and alluring pieces.  Inspired by everyday life, mechanics, architecture, natural movement and what I see around me, I work towards creating wearable art that pleases the senses. Addicted to the creative challenge, I enjoy the path from idea to finished piece.
